Bryan + Elizabeth’s Building 177 Wedding

it’s buzz-worthy. trust me.

Let’s talk Liz and Bryan! They’re romantic, they’re adventurous, funny, AND they love paper goods! It truly does not get any better than this, folks. We started our paper journey together with save the dates 11 months before their wedding day. Having just had a killer engagement shoot out in Joshua Tree with San Diego’s top wedding photographer, Kami Olavarria, it only made sense to use photos and opt for digital printing on this piece. My favorite part about the process was that their fun laid-back style quickly became apparent through their wording preferences…and their desire to feature their pup Rocky on the backside of the card!

Fast-forward to April - it was time to get creative for their formal wedding suite and I WAS READY. Not only was I excited because of my experience with them during their save the dates, but also because we were becoming closer as friends IRL! DOUBLE WIN.

Our design process went super smooth, we were clicking on everything and I was able to submit their final designs for platemaking in about 2 1/2 weeks time! They chose a horizontal #10 layout which I was SUPER PUMPED about. I had recently done this invitation layout for a styled shoot at Bldg. 177 and was really feelin’ myself. Lol, JK I was feeling the vibe of the horizontal #10 though!! To accompany the invitation, we created a custom map of the area surrounding Liberty Station, San Diego and an RSVP card. OH, and a custom bee (Bryan and Elizabeth — get it?) monogram featured in their wedding invitation, return address, and wax seal!! A monogram that they later asked to use on day-of goodies. COULD THIS GET ANY BETTER?!

The answer is yes. Y-E-S people! Details are something that I definitely value more than the average person. Details speak to me, that’s where the magic happens for me. It should be no surprise that I was amped when Liz and Bryan came back ready to create wedding ceremony programs, dinner menus and place cards. They were ready to go all out and I was ready to create super cool pieces for them. Their ceremony programs were double-sided and featured the same fun wording ‘Let’s I Do This Thing’ from their save the dates. We created a double-sided #10 dinner menu that I AM OBSESSED with still to this day. I loved the language that they came up with ‘We Drink. We Dine. We Dance’ - it felt really welcoming and fun to me, and personalized when paired with the handwritten guest names attached with a paper clip! Once flipped over, the menus listed the family style dinner options coming the guests’ way provided by the DELICIOUS Toast Catering. Mix in my letterpress paper goods with their goods (signature Rocky cocktail napkins, bee monogrammed slushie cups, homemade monogrammed signage, you get the idea) and it was a match made in WEDDING HEAVEN.
