Til Death Do Us Part: Our Wedding!

First things first - I consider a wedding an extremely personal and intimate event - so it is a bit strange to be blogging about my own. BUT when you get your weddings photos on Christmas Eve eve and they’re the most picture perfect photos you have ever seen…..they deserve a blog post. And, mostly, I’m just excited about showing off the insane skill of our friend and wedding photographer, Kami Olavarria.

Argus and I planned our wedding from scratch, just the two us. It was fun and annoying :) There were so many moving pieces leading up to our wedding day but honestly, we did an incredible job at keeping our shit together. Argus did a better job than I did, but to be fair, I did launch a small business about five months before our date so I still consider myself a legitimate superstar.

Despite being in charge of all of the planning and logistics leading up to the day, it was Argus and other family members who executed our vision on the day of. We had SO MUCH HELP from everyone with set up (and break down). I didn’t see how anything looked until I was physically there - and even then, I was so distracted that I never had the chance to take in what had come together so beautifully.

Argus and I are super low key - we like to drink beer and play games and surround ourselves with good people - and our wedding was EXACTLY that. Checking out the photos that Kami delivered to us this week was a really fun experience for me, not only because hellooo, wedding photos? but because I had a chance to slow down and take it ALL in, one frame at a time.
